Start-Up Controller at Procurement, INEOS Automotive (17 months)
Starting Situation
At Procurement, planned costs were not controlled or tracked.
Tasks
Being one of first controllers on board, we defined new reporting tools and a dashboard with KPIs about change management. We tracked costs development and if the customer was covering those with price increases. We also supported negotiations with suppliers based in Mexico.
Results
Step by step, a dashboard with key figures about bill of material changes and development was established and 70% of costs increases were corrected. Contract was prolonged four times.
Vacancy at Global Sales Controlling BMW, Purem, Ebertspäher Group (5 months)
Starting Situation
Sales controller for BMW projects was to leave the company shortly - vacancy should be covered , new projects needed to get calculated.
Tasks
Business cases needed to be calculated, planned and reported, taking into consideration BMW as the customer. Controlling for that brand has been coordinated worldwide and evaluation of decisions for business were made.
Results
New business plan calculations leaded to 2 new businesses. Factoring had been included into cases for the first time. Vacancy was covered successfully and handover was done in time.
Senior Controller for Restructuring and Transfers into shared services center, BOGE Elastmetall (5 months)
Starting Situation
Costs savings needed, restructuring of business and location of jobs to be optimized.
Tasks
Analysis of costs and calculation of best case P&L executed for each operative site and for finance. Processes were captured and defined for handover to SSC. Support at workstream finance in Mexico.
Results
Successful definition of processes at finance for level 1-5. Jobs were re-allocated from Germany to Eastern Europe. Support at Mexican entity allowed for avoidance of line stops at VW.
Vacancy for Senior Controller Operations and Sales, NEMAK Automotive (3 months)
Starting Situation
Urgent tasks were awaiting a senior controller for re-negotiation of sales prices with customer.
Tasks
Reporting of man hours at produciton lines and shifts in comparison, double check of profitability along new BOM at one production site with losses, argumentation for re-negotiation of prices due to new volume assumptions. Support of local controlling team with advise and templates.
Results
Identification and solution of lending issues among costs centers at production. Arguments for re-negotiation with customer were identifeid and applied.
Vacancy as Senior Controlling & Establishment of Cash Flow Management for Germany, OPmobility (13 months)
Starting Situation
First, a short term vacancy at Controlling at the headquarter needed to be covered. Then cash flow management needed to be took over in Germany.
Tasks
Consolidation of planning and reporting for over 10 sites, closing of findings at internal audits, calculation of accrual for yearly closing for losses at projects, optimization of insurance costs and CAPEX, cash flow forecasting and reporting.
Results
Successfully fulfilled expectations and tasks as deputy of CFO and senior controller. And cash flow was taken over in Germany for first time.
Vacancy as Project and Senior Controller, Telecommunications (4 months)
Starting Situation
A new controller was searched in urgency to carry on with regular tasks. Project calculation needed changes at assumptions and calculation tool.
Tasks
Installation of new reporting key figures and structures, budget planning and calculation of projects, including follow up and tracking of measures.
Results
Vacancy was covered with success, handover to next employee did work out well. Daily tasks were accomplished according to expectations.
